Regardless of your stance on the war in Iraq I would recommend everyone see the HBO film Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon. It is not a political film.

It is not fun to watch; it is important to watch. You won't enjoy watching it but you will never regret having seen it.

Me, too. I have heard excellent reports from others about this one.

So, armed with my tissue box... I will watch it.

Couldn't agree more, Longrifle. Finally saw this. Ended just a few minutes ago. Tissue is a must!

What a simply powerful, heartfelt, and respectful tribute to one - all, actually - of our fallen warrior heroes. Superb!

Glad you thought it was worthwhile.

I saw it when a theatre in our town offered a free viewing. A Marine reserve unit provided a color guard for the National Anthem and Chance Phelps' mother and stepfather were there and spoke briefly.

It was very moving.

I had no idea the military accompanied the body of the fallen soldier all the way home. Yes, I cried.

Monadnock Guide,

I think it's out on DVD now.

Yes, it is. I have it in my Netflix queue. You may be able to find it at your local video rental store, MG.
