Thanks for the birthday wishes, Melissa!  And I did have a very nice "26 for the second time" birthday, which included a surprise visit from one of my sisters & her husband. They brought me some nice gifts & also took me out to lunch, before heading back to N.C.
I also heard from my good friend, Chris, whom I met back in 1994 when he was working on the canebrake rattlesnake project here in southeastern VA. After I met Chris, I joined that project as a volunteer & worked in the field alongside him for about 7 - 8 years. We finally got together a couple of days ago & spent a very enjoyable time at Applebee's, where we caught up with each other & had some laughs over a few beers - just like old times! 
And yesterday, I watched LOTM again, as a bonus belated b'day present to myself! Nothing like seeing DD-L in a breechcloth to bring a BIG smile to my face!     |
