I recently discovered Empire Magazine's website. On it is their list of Top 100 Movie Characters of all time.

Some of the more interesting choices:

#29 Daniel Plainview (DD-L the only LOTM actor to appear)
#63 Wall-e
#64 Withnail (has anybody ever heard of the movie, Withnail & I? I hadn't.)

Basically, looking at this list is a great way to raise one's bloodpressure--it's pretty lame. The so-called "fans" who voted in this missed some obvious choices: Magua (Wes Studi), Doc Holiday (Val Kilmer) & Fred Boggs (Humphrey Bogart). I'm sure each and every one of us can come up with choices that aren't on this list. What ticked me off the most, though, was Han Solo being ranked higher that Indiana Jones! Although Harrison Ford was the only actor to have more than one character in the Top 10.
