I was listening to NPR's "Talk of the Nation" today on the radio and they were discussing the "Dream Team," i.e. who you would nominate for a cabinet position in the next cabinet--be it Obama's or McCain's. AND someone called in and nominated Russell Means for one of the posts, but I didn't hear which one. It must have been Secretary of the Interior, I would think. Did anyone else hear this?
By the way, who would you nominate? and for what post?

Yeah and if McSame wins we can get all stars like G Gordon Liddy- or BIll O'Reilly!! Wow! Maybe they could even talk Rush into helping save America! Wouldn't that be sweet? Gee if that evil muslim terrorist Obama wins we might as well just kiss the country goodbye- he'll probably sell it to the Chinese or paint the White House black- maybe he'll even replace the military with a new Black Panther movement!! Lions and tigers and bears- oh my!!

Close Sus, but not quite; for if Obama bin Biden wins we can expect to see terrorists like William Ayers and Rashid Khalidi being part his 'inner circle'. But then again, Hitler had Himmler and Goebels, right? And after all, wasn't Adolf just a politician who created a bunch of social programs by taxing the 'rich', placed controls on private industry, and made the trains 'run on time'? He was also against private firearms ownership, and in favor of the controlling of political speech; and he was personally a vegetarian and hated 'Big Tobacco' too...
In America today, he'd be a Democrat.
Yep, give me Liddy, Rush and O'Reilly any day, over Obama's friends. At least none of them ever talked about having to 're-educate' or 'eliminate' 26 million Americans, like William Ayers did...

Seamus - you're onto something there - appointing Rush!!! One damn good idea! Actually, I was hoping he'd run for Prez, - but a cut in pay of amount 100 mil is kinda asking a lot. ;) |

Thank you for removing the scales from eyes once again Sarge!! Good to know that I can always rely on the power of your logic to reveal the "truth" about any given situation! We in the Lion's Den are truly blessed. I once was blind but now I've seen! Ha! I also love your Obama/Hitler comparison. It was right there staring me in the eye and I didn't even realize it!

Actually, that was Mussolini's claim to fame. But then he was Hitler's hero to the end. Yeah, Hitler was put into power because he was a charismatic leader whose policies (anti-commie, anti-union, etc.) were favorable to the powerful industrialists of the time. They figured that once he was in power they could control him. Right!!! One thing he did do was promise every German a car, hence the Volkswagen. And to redistribute the wealth. |

Talking about redistributing wealth, - this morning while out at breakfast, two middle aged guys at a near by table were talking about that very thing. One said that if Nobama gets in, he's selling all his real estate and "relaxing" his income - let him redistribute someone elses. |

Tell me about it. I can barely sleep crying for all the rich folks getting the shaft. That is some tough love. When my income hits $250,000 a year i'm gonna be flaming mad. We need McSame's help to continue widening that gap between rich and poor. That middle class spells trouble. |

That may have been too, but it is a saying that was connected to Hitler, in post-Nazi Germany. When I was TDY there several times in the 1980's, it was both a saying of the old folks, as well as a punch-line in many jokes by young people as well.

I don't know what you do for a living, or even if you do work at all, but I can assure you that it is not a poor person who signs your paycheck. So, in an Obama bin Biden world, where your employer is punished with excessive taxes and regulations, you may very well be crying all the way to the unemployment office.

Stealing what isn't yours to give to someone else isn't the answer. That's NOT "change" - that's the same old song the lefties have been signing since the Stone Age. The real answer to poverty is education, - NOT a stupid monthly check that only guarantees they'll be in poverty for life. However, that monthly check WILL keep those folks voting for you. |

We have been funding education, since the time of Jefferson, but it was only during GW's presidency that they were finally held accountable for the results. And rightfully so, you do not fix a problem by just throwing more money at it, you sometimes need to look at method as well. Remember what defines insanity; that being performing the same actions over and over again, and expecting a different result.
I think what MG means by 'education', is continuing to better yourself after the high school; be it a college, trade school or the military. And that should be the responsibility of the person themselves, since as an adult one of the lessons learned should be that of self-reliance for self-improvement. My parents, and the public purse got me as far as grade 12, the rest of the voyage was on my dime and my time, as it should be.

Well Bookworm, if ACORN's voter fraud scheme works, and the media's darling does win, it will be only the begining of the 'laughs' (and as Rich noted, not the good ones either). Our enemies will see us as being weak (which an Obama win will clearly demonstrate), and figure that they could hit us again. When (not if) they do, you can bet it will be with something more than a couple of nit-wits crashing planes into buildings. The targets will probably be what the Wahabbists see as symbols of American 'sloth & sin' (as they were targeted before, and if anything, those clowns are predictable); to wit: New York, LA, DC, San Fransisco, etc. The irony, however, will be on the Islamo-Facisists, since those are the places filled with the people who voted for 'their' candidate to begin with (blue smudges on an otherwise red map). The only saving grace is that our warrior caste mostly come from areas outside of those places (no suprise there, huh?).
One thing I can be thankful for is that GW kept those dirt-bags in check for several years. And for protecting my family during that time, I am forever grateful to him. And no matter what the outcome on the 5th of November may be, I will at least go to bed on the evening of the 4th with a clear conscience knowing that I did what I could to protect our way of life.
