Lol I must have been sick that time. He won't take me on in the pit. I would win. And some more bowing. When can I stop my back is going to start hurting.
There are easier things in life then trying to find a good guy..... Nailing jelly to a tree for example.

Now about this portal, Nativedoll... You'll have to give me a little notice as it'll take time to raise my White River Brigade.

To a man, they're some of the dirtiest, unmannored, uncivilized, jug guzzling, loyal low life, that ever set foot in the wilderness west of the Mighty Mo, but everyone to a man a straight and steady shot,, wood wize beyond their years, and dependable under any circumstances we run up against. The kind of folks we'll need when jumping back into that F & I War period of history. Likely as not most came right out of the east where we're a headed, including me!

It would be an adventure!

Fortunately, the Injuns got sick of me and let me go with my scalp intact.

The French and Indian War (in addtion to inspiring Last Of The Mohican, LOTM) was an important pivot in world history. It was a causitive factor in the American Revolution, which also stressed France and may have led to the French Revolution.

Good luck in your development of the time-travel portal. Let us hope that no scalp-hunters use it to come to our era!
