I got to watch AVP-R yesterday. It's not too bad IF you are a fan of these (that would be me). It starts out precisely where the last AVP flick left off... Good points: the Predator is stronger that the idiot Aliens this go around, unlike the last movie (which is as it should be). How did a bunch of arrogant, heartless hunters come up with such advanced technology? (Ans.--Don't think about it.) But I digress; the Pred had a couple of neat new gadgets. Bad points: too formulaic, full of people running around in the dark with nothing but the "Ultimate Weapon" (a flashlight). Funny, I recognized none of the actors in this (except for the guy who plays the Medical Examiner in CSI:NY).

Lastly, there were a couple of scenes stolen from Aliens & another scene which reminded me of Gremlins. And...you'll probably never look at triplets quite the same again.

I'll give it a big fat C.
