Greetings. Thought you folks might like to know -- That *!!*## article I wrote about you back around 2001 came out finally -- the one that's the last chapter, from my dissertation about LOTM. It's in the June 2007 issue of The Journal of Popular Culture. I can send/post a pdf if you like.
Hope all goes well.

The grad library at my school has the journal, if you want me to xerox and/or scan a copy for you.

Thanks. I'm not exactly "thrilled." I might have been, 3 or 4 years ago. Now? Not so much. I emailed a copy to Rich, who I presume can figure out a way to post it. I tried attaching a copy to a post, but it didn't work.

I have the publisher's proof copy in PDF form temporarily stored in my microscopic storage area at my ISP. Of course, it's no substitute for the real mag, which I presume could be purchased directly from the publisher.

The Journal's website is here:
http://www.blackwellpublishing.com/journal.asp?ref=0022-3840

The PDF can be downloaded here:
http://home.rochester.rr.com/k/e/kesslerwilliams/downloads/

I'll be taking it down at some point, as I'll eventually need the space for some other purpose. For now, ENJOY! Celebrate yourselves!

A personal remark: I have to say while the topic(s) are still quite interesting, when re-read from the vantage point of 4-6 years later, the piece seems to be a pretty dry excercise. Not my best writing. THAT, I think, happens to also be stored at the moment in the same downloads folder, in the zip file there. It's kind of a travelogue I wrote back in 2003, with virtually no connection to Mohicans.

Thanks. You're too kind. As I think Garrison Keillor once said, "some people are educated beyond their means."

Hey mikewilltoo! I like your avatar but I'm not sure if Redfraggle would share my enthusiasm as eye balls tend to really freak her out!

Anyway, wanted to take a second and say "HI and WELCOME" if I hadn't already done so! Nice to have you one the board!

Just that darn creepy one you're always torturing me with! But now that you mention it, that rolly eye avatar is a little freaky. THANKS SO MUCH for bringing it to my attention.
