I'm not a football watcher, but....
Congratulations, Jayne! It couldn't happen to a nicer gal! |

Congrats Jayne. I was relieved as my fourteen year old son had a bet riding on the Colts. Thankfully he won. Still, I told him he should not be betting with his friends or anyone else for that matter. It was only $5 but still. |

A Hoosier gal myself (born and raised in Bloomington), I can also agree that this was a great victory! |

I just happened to spot this thread...I know, I know, "a day late & a dollar short" ... random thoughts on the Colts:
Just a few years ago, the Colts played at the Ravens & Johnny Unitas (1 of the 2 greatest QBs ever IMHO) was there that day, on the sideline, that's right, the Baltimore sideline! Let's face it, the phrase "Baltimore Colts" rolls off the tongue so much more easily than "Indianapolis Colts."
I've seen all kinds of BS about how Peyton Manning couldn't win the big one, all of which was finally put to rest. I think it should have been more about the Colts not being able to win the big one. Sure, they clipped Dallas in an early Super Bowl...BUT...remember Joe Namath & his NY Jets & how they upset the heavily favored Colts in SB3. Going back just a few years further, the Colts were again heavily favored in the 1964 NFL championship game (before any Super Bowls) & were stomped by the Cleveland Browns to the tune of 27-0!!! |

Yeah, - but those guys are all sitting on their front porch in rocking chairs now. Might be a "senior" league in golf or something, but I don't see football starting one. |
