A tattoo on his throat, Lord knows that had to hurt!! I remember what it felt like to get my lower back tattoo done. It took five hours to complete with five hours of nagging pain. Yikes! |

It's a tribal piece that is across my lower back. Pretty nice sized piece I had done about four years ago. |

I forgot to mention that we are very proud of him for getting his life in order, too!
That tat was originally going to be detailed in as an Iron Cross, but the outline hurt so bad he couldn't go on. Neither of his parents had any sympathy for that. He really wants to remove it ... maybe someday. |

I've heard removing tats can be just as painful and depeneding on how big the tat is can take more than one visit.
I have a tat on my stomach of a wild rose with the words, "Mi Vida Loca" written in script in a circle around it. It's really pretty, and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it!
Then there's those henna tats on my hands....I like them even more cause they only last about 7-10days and then I can redo them to a diff design or move them to a new local. I love henna! |

Ooo nice to hear we have a few tattooed members! I have four tats in total all but one designed by myself hehe I have a black cat on my upper arm, tiny thing and an egyptian eye of horus on my other upper arm, again it's a small one. Then a large fairy on my right shoulder blade and finally a heart symbol on my lower back. I love them all as they are all stand for something big that happened in my life.
I'm with you on the lowerback tattoo hurting a lot Blackfoot, ouchy! |

All I can say is ow ow ow ow OW!
I've thought about getting a tattoo, but I have pretty sensitive skin and I'd probably be allergic to the ink. Then I'd just look gross and splotchy.
My sis had a pisces symbol tattooed on her leg few months ago and her entire calf turned purple and was tender like a bruise. I don't think that's supposed to happen. . . ? But probably something similar would happen to me, so I just avoid it all together! |

I just happened across the part on this thread about tatoos. When Nancy was still in nursing, I remember once when she came home laughing about a patient in her 80s that had a tatoo of a butterfly on her breast done when she was younger, but when she saw it, she said it now looked more like a pterodactyl. Oh, and by the way, when you all get to needing one of these, I found the perfect mobile scooter for you ladies....(LOL) I know, to the mud pits, right? Image Insert:
