Kay,
I can take total responsibility ONLY for the book and pelts. All the other items actually belonged to my mother who died in September. Karen & I agreed they might be good items for the Gathering. I'll gladly share the thanks with Karen!
So glad they all got to you in good shape! Please note (Rich) - sent by the good ole US Mail !

Thanks Jayne and Karen! Sounds like some great stuff, especially the fife. I can't wait to see that; might have to save my pennies to bid on that one. Your ongoing support of Ariel's Auction is appreciated, both of you! Steph |

Hey all! I think I can speak for Jayne when I say we're happy to have a good cause to donate the things that came from our mother's house. She and our father were very generous people and I think they would heartily approve of our decision. I also have some things at home that I'll be donating. Guess I should decide if I'm going to send them to Kay or bring them with me, huh? Won't be long now. Sure am looking forward to seeing everyone who will be there, and will miss those who won't. My best to all! Karen

Hi Karen, Why don't you just bring your donations with you if you have the room? I just hate for you to have to pay the postage, especially after seeing how much Jayne had to spend!!! Thanks again for the very generous donations that you and Jayne sent from your mom's house!!!
Love, Kay

Hi Kay, I think I'll take you up on that idea and bring my donations with me. I sent you a note earlier telling you about some of the things I have. Another thing I have for the auction is a Lady's Hooded Cape. It's dark green and made of 80% wool blanketing and is 46" long. It was made by the folks at Jas Townsend & Son, Inc. They are located in Pierceton, IN and they have a great store. Could be that some of the reenactors are familiar with them. Their website is www.jas-townsend.com. I hope there will be some interest in the cape as it's a really nice one. Karen
