I recently checked out the Wennawoods website and discovered a softcover book entitled "The Mohican World, 1680-1750" by Shirley W. Dunn. It sounded quite interesting, so I purchased a copy for the auction/raffle. Having since received it, it looks so interesting I'll probably have to get a copy for myself! Anyway, the cover is a painting entitled "The Mohican Grandfather" by L. F. Tantillo, an artist I was not familiar with. After looking at his website, http://www.lftantillo.com I thought it was a neat site that others here might enjoy. Only a few of his paintings deal with Indian life, but quite a few deal with early colonial life in the Hudson Valley. As for the Mohican grandfather, if the painting were a scene in a movie, he should definitely be played by Graham Greene.
