Well, it's not LOTM, but it will be a great event! May 19 to 21, reenactment of Battles of Prestonpans and Culloden at Ft. Loudoun, near Chambersburg, PA. Featuring the Bonnie Prince himself (there is a whole following of this fellow from Canada who portrays the prince, and he has all the trappings!), the Butcher of Cumberland (George II's son who never made it to the throne, the original Fat Bastard!) and a host of Jacobite and Hanoverian (Gov't) forces...featuring "moi" as commander of Clan Chattan but also Sjt. Major of 77th (our 77th Grens play Jacobites on one day and themselves on the next day.....a bit confusing, huh??....which King today??)....Sjt. Munro and his 42nd are to be there, etc ., etc. At this writing there are probably 100 Jacobites and 70 Gov't forces supported by two cannons. Jacobite events are VERY colourful, full of fun, lots of vignettes (a lady's tea, a renewal of marriage vows of one of the Jacobites, a torchlight parade of clans, organized battles, 18th century music, bagpipes, swordplay, etc., etc. but done as authentically as possible, no RenFaire stuff!!), all played out at Ft. Loudoun, a beautiful spot nestled in the "highlands" of Pennsylvania. Come on out and plan on attending, public is invited and it will be advertized in many forums. If you have any questions, zing me an email. Malcolm
