Thank you all, for your kind wishes. My day was pleasantly quiet, for which I was grateful.
Sarge... you weren't late! You posted on Sunday the 5th, which was my birthday.
Thanks!

Oh boy. Tell me about it. Wasn't it just yesterday that I was wearing that permed Afro hairdo, bell-bottom jeans, and listening to The Rolling Stones?
Oh wait! I'm still doing those last two.......

Yes, but of the three, 'The Rolling Stones' is the one that never did go out of style. With my teenage daughter now listening to them, that makes three generations of 'Stones' fans in my family. My father, who was an air policeman in the 81st TFW at RAF Ben****ers during the early 1960's, once had the pleasure of escorting the band from the main gate to the enlisted man's club on base. This was in 1962, back when they were playing the airbase club circuit in the UK.
My dad's memory of Mick Jagger included that he bummed a ciggarette during the ride to the club, and asked how he could buy a bottle of Johnny Walker from one of the GI's, since even then it was very expensive on the British market. He also noted that he was a very 'down to earth' kind of guy (Unique, given the fact that he had graduated, with honors, from one of London's top schools for economics).
