Is anyone on the board going to Cowpens? An Augusta County Militia is coming with about 25 people, but I understand that this is different from the Augusta Regt.

Yep, it is different. They are based out of Virginia and claim to be "hardcore" types.
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting '...holy sh*t ...what a ride!'

Got any info on this Fitz? I have always wanted to go! A History Professor here at ECU wrote A Devil of a Whipping about the Battle of Cowpens and goes every year!

One of their members said that they would be tho ones without tents. A few years ago it got so cold that some people woke up the next morning with their beards and mustaches frozen. I have been there in snow and misting rain. Tents help. Also it is said that there is a ghost or two.

There will be a lot of people, and one of them might be named Mel. And one of our group always brings a slab of tree trunk and practices his tomahawk throwing, but his name is Bruce.
Little things that bother me: The unit in charge of the Patriot Line is the 2nd SC. They surrendered at Charles Town the preceeding May and ceased to exist as a unit. They were not there. No way. One more reason I am thankful to be Militia and not Line.
