Hello! Great site, I have enjoyed lurking!
I was wondering whether anyone knows if the director's cut version can be bought for region 2 (ie UK) DVD players. so far I've only seen it for region 1 (USA). I am desparate to see it.
Thankyou in advance,

If memory serves, you lucky R2 people get the original theatrical release on DVD. While I have the Director's Ed., I much prefer the non-touched one (only available on VHS here). If you have an all-region player, you can surely find a R1 copy at Amazon.com, ebay, etc. :)

What was added does not weigh equal to what was deleted, IMO.

thankyou daire.
i know that there are many mixed feelings about the director's ed (mainly because of the expectation of so much extra footage) but i NEED to see it
i'm sure that there are region 2 originol versions on ebay, by the way - check it out!
i'm desparate......
best wishes,

Only region 1 has the director's cut, while outside it is all theatrical. this occurs because in US Fox has rights, while outside the WB does. The theatrical cut is available in pal in region 4 (australia) and region 2 (europe); and in ntsc in region 4 (brazil) and region (3) asia. I'm not sure if the region 3 one is censored though, does anybody know? I plan to pick up an ntsc copy and i can get the region 3 one cheaper, but i don't want it if it is censored, thanks
