Yes we went hiking at Dupont yesterday. And I have never seen so much water falling then we did yesterday. But wanted to update you on some of the changes/improvements that we noticed while on the hike.

The trials are in much better shape. That real steep part that leads up to Triple Falls from the Hooker parking lot has been smoothed out. Another words, the ruts are gone, and they have put gravel down. We also found a shorter way to get from Triple to High Falls. You can get there in about 15 mins, and it is soooo easy... You just walk on a really wide path/road and come out near the pavillion. Which they have completly redone. It's all new, with a green metal roof. Very nice.

It is greatly improved, the friends of Depont now have a new map out for sale also...

Well that's about it, just wanted to share that with you, Will tell you this, there is no way that canoe would go over Hooker Falls right now!!!.. Or would the be climbing up triple falls....

Cherie you lucky thing! Glad you had a chance to enjoy Dupont this summer. I live here and haven't had a chance to go there in a while, too bad huh. Las ttime I was there, there was a LOT of water as well and you couldn't dream of climbing up the side of the waterfall as we have done before. Glad to hear about the trail improvements. I don't suppose they made it any less steep did they? haha oh well. That section of the trail is killer. We should get together on one of your trips to this area. Let me know next time you're coming!
Thanks for the update,
Steph

I was going through some of my pictures from last year's Gathering and found this one.
It was alot of fun hiking those trails, even if we did get soaked. Can't wait for next year!!!
