I check my flints and powder and count out musket ball. I pack my budget in prepartion to answer the call of Sir William Johnson to meet at his estate in Johnstown NY on the banks of the Mohawk River. The French must be pushed back from Crown Point and we have been called to assemble at Old Fort Johnson this weekend.

The museum has new displays and will be open to the public 11:00 until 5:00.

Ahhh. . . The Mohawk Baronet!

And speaking of those with influence among the Indians, there is the "Clash of Empires" exhibit in Pittsburg, which has the actual coat of Charles-Michel Langlade! He's my man! Although our dietary preferences are a bit different.

Apparently Sir William has little liking for Captain Robert Rogers. Not that wearing Ranger green prevented attending rum call.

WOW!! That's a long encampment...June 30-May 1! Might lose my happy home if I went to it.....!!

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'...holy sh*t ...what a ride!'

Given the time commitment, I think the museum should be open 24/7!
