Poll Question:
In order to celebrate the release of the "Batman Begins" trailer- http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/batman_begins/large.html -and it's upcoming release I would like to ask which of the listed choices is your favorite incarnation of the Batman character. Why? Any favorite Bat-memories? Also, who is your favorite villain?

You know, Batman has to have a great mouth... because that is pretty much all you can see when he's wearing his mask. And I suppose Val Kilmer and George Clooney have nice mouths, but Michael Keaton is just, well, the best in that category. That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it! ~Rose |

Give me the old comic books [oh, to be a kid again?], though Jack Nicholson was superb as my favorite villain, The Joker! |

I vote with Rich on this one. The movie with Keaton was good, the graphic novels have been very good, but nothing beats the good old fashioned comics. Batman is definitely one of the best comics ever created. (Although Nicholson as The Joker WAS completey awesome...) |
See this face? This is the face of a woman on the edge. Whoopi Goldberg, "Jumping Jack Flash"

I had to go with the comics here. I can't count the hours I spent hiking to and from the small bookstore in Red Wing where I found my monthly installments of Detective Comics and Batman. I remember being particularly infatuated with the "Death in the Family" story in which the 2nd Robin is killed by the Joker. The original (Dick Grayson) had already moved onto a spot in the "Teen Titans" lineup. I was also a huge fan of the Frank Miller graphic novel "Dark Knight Returns" in which a 50-something darker, burnt out Batman comes out of retirement. Also looked forward to the supersized Annuals.
Favorite villain- call me nuts but I loved Frank Gorshins Riddler from the 60's TV show. Burgess Meredith also did a wonderful penguin.-his trademark quacking sound was a result of irritation from the cigarettes his character smoked, it was not initially a planned bit. |

I think a few woks and thwaks are in order for this one! And when I finally catch you Batman, I'm going to tell you all about my evil plans, then leave the room for you to escape - just in time to thwart my evil plan..... such fun!
Christian Bale as the new Batman.... good choice and bring on James Bond for him too!
