I am new to this site and Just wanted to say hello. I joined this site because I am very Interested in Red-Coats and the French-Indian Wars.

Bonsoir, Major,
I'm pretty new to the Board, too. It's very interesting, and you'll find that there are several of us F & I reenactors that are members, too. I am (pardon the pun) bi-Unital, meaning that I am a member of the Detroit French Marines and also of Gordon's 60th Royal Americans. I don't show allegiance to either King -- I guess I have sort of a problem with "Authority Figures".

Welcome, and hope you enjoy all the neat stuff that goes on here!

Welcome a-board (Sorry, I just could not resist the pun), Major. If you are interested in F&IW, you have found the right place. As Rose (blueotter) put it so well, there are a good number of F&IW reenactors from all sides here (British and French Regulars, Canadians, Americans & Native Americans). You will find that no matter what your interest in the era may be, Sachem Rich has a part of the board which covers it. Once again, welcome aboard...

Dances With Beagles...

In the beginning, I gave foot baths and shampoos to members of the group... shampoos for the 2 teenagers who were hair-conscious and a foot bath to the Corporal. I have since banned foot baths because it hurts my back... but I will also do sponge baths (upper body ONLY) for a donation (free to the group) and thought it would be a fun way to get some gas money to the events. It's more of a nicety for my fellow members and a semi-joke for the rest of te world. Nothing scary involved, because if I DO give a sponge bath to someone outside the unit, my guys would be present with their bayonets handy...

Rose
p.s. I used to be sort of a "Dances with Wiener-Dogs"... when I lived with my roommate who raises them. They were always underfoot, and every 4-5 months there would be puppies all OVER the place. Your username really cracked me up!
