ARRRR, we missed it also!! However, we are building a pirate playhouse in our backyard and I have the Jolly Roger to fly from it.....but, this is a whole new story....we were "cited" by the township for building a "tower" in our backyard.....we have 30 days to get all types of permits and inspections or we will be fined....local government s#@*^s .....they have too much power and I am now fighting to keep my "pirate playhouse" built on MY land....my lawyer is involved, etc.....anyway.....when it is finished, we'll fly the skull and crossbones from the yardarm and make the township manager walk the plank...ARRR, Matey.....'tis the black spot.....shiver me timbers!!! Arrrrrrrr!!!! Who knew! And just last night (now that the power is back on!) I watched "Pirates of the Caribbean" on DVD! Speaking of which, has anyone noticed how similar some of those fight scenes are to LOTM? In particular, one guy (might have been the Orlando Blom character) throws an axe and get someone in the back, VERY similar to the Chingachgook throw. Er, maybe I've just watched too much LOTM, mate! Thanks for passing along the pirate website. We'll have to remember that for next year! Arrrrrrrr!!! Stephanie
P.S. For enthusiasts of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, perhaps we should plan a Caribbean Gathering ! Yeah! On board a cruise ship, of course!!!! |

Fitz, I think we'd feel like the "Freaked-out Nightmare Fleet" going down the Nolichucky recently - saw some pictures today on Weatherbug, and it "shivers me timbers" to think I'd been in a raft on that river!

As long as you are having to watch DVD's, pick up Master and Commander. It's on sale at Target for $10 in full screen or wide screen. I bought the wide screen Sunday and I gotta say it's GREAT! Russell Crowe was super. Sunday? That was "International Talk Like A Pirate Day"! Well, shiver me timbers! Funny how things work out. Arrrr. . .
By the way, did you know that John Sevier of Kings Mountain/State of Franklin/First Governor of Tenn. fame was known as "Nolichucky John"? What does that have to do with anything? I am not sure. |
