Hello all!
I received the following from the Director, Robert Matzen:
"I wanted to make you aware that the Paladin Web site has been updated to include a photo gallery from the May 4 shoot. This should give you a hint of the great footage we captured -- 6 hours of it! Thank you all for making the day a tremendous success -- and a whole lot of fun. Check it out at www.paladincom.com. Robert"
Just go to the page, follow the link to the Clash of Empire page, and click on Images.
There are some TREMENDOUS shots here, and the Pennsylvanians (ahem...that's MY boys and me!)stand out in a couple. We are wearing forest green Regimentals and white blanket rolls.
Take a look!
PAx aye!

Aye,I do at that. The film will now be titled"George Washington's First War:The Battle for Ft.Duquesne".Apparently The Sen.John Heinz History Center wanted to steal the title from our director(to be used for the upcoming PBS movie).Being the gentleman that he is,he told them that they could have it.The people in that place know as much about the French & Indian War as I do about flying a 747The website has been updated at:www.paladincom.com EM

Being a bit confused about the discussions around " George Washinton's first War: The Battle for Fort Duquesne", I would appreciate if someone can clarify. Is PBS doing a 3 hr movie on the subject? According to discussions on this web site also another production is ongoing. What's on?

Hi Bertil, I would be honored to help clarify this for you. "George Washington's First War: The Battle for Fort Duquesne", is a sequel to Robert Matzen's first F&I/W movie "When The Forest Ran Red: Washington, Braddock And A Doomed Army". It was brought about by the efforts of Edmound N. Highlander (aka Edmound McKinnon to all of us Mohicanites). The movie stars reenactors from all around the tri-state area, guys like Seamus, Sgt. Malcom MacWillam, Edmound McKinnon (who also plays Henry Bouquet), myself (the picture on my profile is was taken during the filming) as well as many other notables in Mid-Atlantic F&I/W Living History. The PBS production is another animal enitrely, latest intel reports that it does not have the same "as if you were there" appeal, mostly 'talking head' type experts with shots of various historic sites (little, if no use of Living Historians). When both are released, I'll let you be the judge. I hope this helps answer some of your questions.
Your Humble Servant,
Sgt. Duncan Munro Capt. Graham's Coy 1/42nd Royal Highlanders
