I watched LOTM, AGAIN, yesterday and the whole "Cliff Scene" came. And you know how for that scene the sun was out and it wasn't gloomy or anything? Well.. I noticed that right after Uncas gets killed () and when Alice is walking to the edge of the cliff..the sky all of a sudden looks gloomy and it like starts to rain a little bit. I think that was in there for the purpose to show that everything was more gloomy and sad without Uncas and Alice in our lives! lol..sorry if this is confusing, but have any of you noticed the weather changes????

Actually, UL13, that isn't rain. It's the water coming from Nature's Shower Bath off the top of the mountain. Had the priveledge of getting a bit wet by it at this year's Gathering....and if you are there at the right time of day, you get the sun shining on it from behind and it looks like diamonds falling out of the sky...absolutely breathtaking.

Theresa's right, UL. I used to think it was raining in the sunny weather for the longest time in the movie until I made it up that mountain myself and witnessed the water dripping down. This year it was quite heavy... and QUITE refreshing after the brisk climb.

Thanks for posting that pic, GG. I don't know that I've ever seen anything quite like that. I'm thinking it was later in the morning than the usual for Gatherings when we were at that spot for the Un-Gathering. We must try to remember so we can catch that glimpse again.

Well, it just goes to show you how observant I am! I don't recall ever noticing the fact that it looked like it was suddenly raining in the movie!

How pretty! But what exactly is this phenomenon? It's not a waterfall, per se... right? So is it the wind blowing water out of little pools of water? Is there a little rivlet coming out of the side of the mountain? What?

WW, I think it is just little trickles of water that one usually sees while traveling in the mountains - little drippages off the rocks. This one just happens to be W-A-Y up in the air, involve several trickles, and the rock dives back away from the water tricklings and thus "the shower".

Anybody got a better description? Mine was pretty lame

Oh you did just fine, GG! That's kind of what I was thinking.

Sorry. I am a very visual person and I now get the picture!
Thanks.
