So..who is the prettier Munro? The strong, courageous Cora? Or the innocent, delicate Alice? In my opinion, I think Alice is more beautiful. The cliff scene right before she jumps and how her hair crosses her face in slow motion..that's what did it for me..she is GORGEOUS! But not as gorgeous as Uncas!! lol.

I would describe Alice as pretty, but not beautiful.
I would describe Cora (or Madeleine Stowe in general)as breathtakingly beautiful. It is not just her looks, it is her whole attitude, her character, her spirit, her determination,courage and gentility which add to her beauty.
If I could look like, or be like anyone it would be Cora.
p.s she has the most amazing hair... |

| I think both Cora and Alice are very beautiful. Cora's beauty is eye catching. I was aware of her beauty the first time I watched LOTM. Alice has an innocent, pure quality to her face that I found very attractive, and I think she has the most beautiful eyes in the world. I wasn't aware of her the first time because she was very quiet throughout the movie, but the more times I watched the moive, the more I appreciate her beauty. And I agree with you UncasLover13, Alice looked most beautiful right before she jumped off the cliffs. Her face, her hair, and the water running over her face, all in slow motion.... a grief stricken beauty in a heartbreaking scene. |

I think Cora is quite dazzling in her beauty.. while Alice is more winsome and delicate..
I thought Cora was gorgeous at the scene when she is having tea with Duncan... and Alice looked her best at the scene just beofre she jumped...i agree totally with the above posts about her..her eyes are so expressive |
