Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I too would like the sheet music to "The Kiss" I became a fan of the movie after I visited chimney rock in NC where the movie was filmed.

Good lord Kate! You should start charging for these requests! You would have enough to cover your next trip to the gathering! Just kidding.

I really don't think that is a bad idea. Actually I was thinking that people could give a "donation" to Kate for the sheet music and then maybe some of the money would go to this website?

I am also interested in the sheet music for "The Kiss"...I am going to be beginning the study of violin soon, and that is by far one of my favorite pieces. You can email it to evelynevvie @ gmail.com. Thank you so much! :)

OK. We're going to try a little experiment here. Violin language, I talk.

Now you have to hear the rhythm in your head. You know... daaaa da da daaaa da da daaaa da da daaaa da da.... or... long short short, long short short, long short short, long short short, etc. Got that in your head? I don't know the name of the key (never could get that in music theory class!) but it is minor. There is one sharp: F# and the time is 12/8. So whenever I say F - I really mean F#. There are 8 measures to complete the melodic phrase.

Here are the notes, in the treble clef: (remember... f#!) You will have to put in the little trills and grace notes.

bcb gfe fed eda
bcb gfe fed eda
ded fef aff fef
ded fef aff fed
gag gfg agg gfe
fgf fef aff fed
efe ede gfe bee
efe ede gfe fed
Repeat all 8 measures.

That comes right off the sheet music that Kate sent out. It may vary slightly from the soundtrack, but that is the gist of the melody.

I hope this helps.

(Rich... where's the smilie playing his fiddle?)
