On March 6th, 1836 at 5:30 am the Mexican Army attacked the old spanish mission of the Alamo.By 7:00 am the battle was over. All 189 defenders of the Alamo layed dead amongst their fortress.General Santa Anna lost 600 of his men.

While planning the battle strategics the night earlier,General santa Anna ate a plate of chicken and replied to his officers "What is the life of a soldier worth so many chickens?"And after the battle the Tyrant claimed that it was "but a small affair".

YET,the Battle of the Alamo remains "REMEMBERED" because of the sacrifice, courage, and heroism of the 189 Americans and Tejanos. They died fighting for Texas Independence....giving their life for a noble cause...giving their life for freedom.

May we remember who these men were.
