Oh what a beautiful day!
I have a wonderful feeling
That pretty weather is here to stay!!!
Well, at least for a week, because all next week it is supposed to be in the mid 70's!!!
I hope that everybody in Mohicanland is having a gorgeous day. Gotta go and enjoy some more sunshine!!!

Hunh. I could have sworn I heard Gordon McRae singing... Must have been my imagination. Ah well.

Gorgeous day here, too, Kay. Breezy, in the 60s... very pleasant. It was back up to the battlefield park for us today. No more wood splitting, though. Today I thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the little kitchen in the lodge, in preparation for the Civil War event coming up next weekend. (Wotsa widdle mousie turds to get rid of!) They always make a huge iron kettle full of old time recipe "Tater Soup" to sell. Yum!

Things are looking good. Can't wait for my first volunteering experience! One of the local regiments was up there camping out and doing practice drilling, so every once in a while there would be a great cannon boom rolling up the hill, or a volley of musket fire. Really cool!

"It is more deeply stirring to my blood than any imaginings could possibly have been."
