This was one of the best reenactments I've ever been in. They first did the event in '98, and there were over 2,000 men-at-arms, that's not counting the campfollowers! An excellent, excellent event. Fort Necessity and this event are at the very top of my priority list for events this summer.

Can you imagine getting out of your hotel room
in full costume , walking or taking a taxi to the
war field !
Better still , camp on location and take a
"calèche " ( horse carriage ) to a fancy French
restaurant at the end of the battle .
This is Québec city ,

Salut Henri,
That`s what makes a reenactment so fun in Québec Cité!
It was neat to see all the reenactors walk around at night in costume in the old town. I plan on stopping at Fort Chambly on my way back up to Québec en juillet, and I`ll probably cross the St. Lawrence River at Sorel.

à bientôt,
Jim dit Trébuchet

This is a way cool video on on reconstructed seige engine or catapult patterned after the siege engine named`The Warwolf` or Loup Guerre used by Edward I in Scotland against Stirling Castle.
