I think for most Gatherers this would be the one! A Mohicans Odyssey ... and an odyssey it was!
This one was big ... almost too big ... but it all pretty much worked out & it was great having so many wonderful people - and Mohicans fans - together in one place at one time. Alas, some may never be here again  ... but still, a lot of good things happened there that year. Some of it:
- A mini-Encampment added much color to the festivities! Courtesy of some of the MacWilliam Clan
- We had a beautiful sunrise
- Wonderful colonial music provided by David & Ginger Hildebrand
- A most unique visit from none other than Mr. Magua, Wes Studi!!
- horseback riding & a delicious pot luck dinner
And, it was big! So big that it takes two collages to capture it all!

There were so many people there that I cannot, off the top of my head, list all the folks who made their first Gathering appearance that year and are also registered Mohican Board members ... so, I won't even try to be complete - a few: Theresa, Christina, Seamus, Many Flags ... I think Patrick [Power Dude] was at his first ... Marc & Cherie ...
Take a look & see if it doesn't entice you to BE THERE THIS YEAR!!! 2001 Great Mohican Gathering - Mucho Madness!

Love those collages, Rich.  You are right, this was my first Gathering and I look forward to my next one in June. Congrats on the book and I also look forward to your next installment. |
