Every year the Fort has a "Winter Weekend" in mid-Feburay - - not this year. - Small attendence, but a great time with some Abernaki from Vermont, Rhode Island & often Maine. - For me it's a four hour drive round trip. - I showed up looking forward to "things" and found a note on their door. ("They" usually send e-mail before events - probably forgot this one.) . "Please accept our apologies. The Winter Weekend has been postponed until March 15-16" . That's certainly not mid-winter here - "the board visited" another location, for some reason. - Ever since they eliminated the Directors position & decided that the board would run everything - it's been in a nosedive.

That's a shame. I haven't seen anything from the Pequawket Alliance about the event and I guess that is why. Are you going back in March? |
