An amazing Mohicans "phenomenon" ... Out of all the pages on this website those featuring Eric Schweig [Uncas, of course] 3 of the top 5 and 4 of the top 10 most-visited pages feature Eric Schweig. I don't exactly get it, but it's true.

It's a great site Rich ... in so far as Eric's popularity goes - my guess would be some (most?) of the former female posters are the likely culprits in that regard.

I am sort of like you, Rich. To me, his character was sort of a minor player in the story. Just someone who was there, probably because he was originally in Cooper's book. Sort of the "side kick" in a western. He was to Hawkeye as Alice was to Cora. But he did a good job. And as for the women viewers, they are a breed apart and make no sense.

And why don't more people view Montcalm ?

Good question Fitz - and from an "historic view" Montcalm would be light years ahead of Eric.
