Ann Colby found these guys - based in Asheville, NC - at a central Florida Highlander event. They do practically the entire LOTM soundtrack and also some Native music. Of course, it was The Gael that caught her attention.

Very COOL!

2 guys playing with them - the bodhran player in the front and the snare drum player in the back, Aya and Colin - are from a favorite band of mine and Stephanie's named Albannach rom Scotland! Ann no perhaps heard them as well at this festival? They will be at the WNC Highland Festival in Black Mountain in June this year, the 16th through the 18th I think, if anyone in that area wants to check them out. Steph and I will be there! If this next year were to mirror this year THEY TOO might be in the area at gathering time. They also do an AWESOME, but a wee bit different version of The Gael and mention Last of the Mohicans from tim to time!
