Martin's Station is one of my favorite places to go. I went there as a spectator when they were first constructing it in 2003 and have a lot pf pictures from that time. All you had to do was ask and you could spend a week there helping with the construction, but at the time I was just getting started in reenacting and I didn't think I had the knowledge or skills to help build a fort. I was wrong. Others were just beginners too. I really regret that. Since then I have tried to go to both the Fall and Spring events. Until Covid came along. Then my wife's health issues and Hurricane Helene came. So maybe this October? I always spent as much time as I could around Mike Miller and he rally taught me a lot. Now I can just pick up a gun and tell whether or not it is build correctly. Thanks for the videos.

I usually rely on others for pictures, but there should be plenty available for me to post whether I go or not. But the May event is usually the big one. Sometimes the October event is not the well attended. But that's not a bad thing. And I get to see some of the other sites like Henley's Settlement, which is worth the entire trip.
