I keep checking the web links page, hoping that someone will put up another hockey link ... I am a huge fan and would love to discuss this fantastic sport with someone on this site!

Yahoo! I just knew there had to be some fans of this great sport here! I love the Ottawa Senators (of course!), Montreal and Vancouver. The team that I least like is Toronto.

I'm back! My computer was on the fritz for the last week ... . I was adding new software so that I could have the option of teleworking ... and everything went poof!

Bea,
I am hoping that it's the SENS of course! But as much as I love them, they don't seem to be aggressive enough during the playoffs. I think that one of the teams be in the final game will be Vancouver ... maybe against Detroit. What do you think?

Hi Brenda,

Sorry about your technical problems.I can relate to that!
Of course I'd love to see my Oilers up there but I doubt it very much..So I think the Canucks will take the trophy!!

Well, seeing as how this is the anniversary of The Miracle on Ice by Team USA in the 1980 Olympics ...

Hard to overlook the Detroit Red Wings as the eventual Stanley Cup winner, though it sure looks, at the moment, that the Vancouver Canucks are the team to beat. I kinda like Ottawa's chances, but ...

I'll go out on a limb - and allow favoritism to play a role here - The New York Rangers are healthy - finally - and playing their best hockey to date. Probably will be their usual story of too little, too late, but ... I'll pick them to at least make a surprisingly serious run at the Cup this year!

You heard it here first!

I have to weigh in here for the NJ Devils. Scottie Gomez used to be a student of mine. That boy had a one track mind, and it was always focused on hockey. His first year in the NHL, he was rookie of the year, and his team won the Stanley Cup. And he's a wonderful kid too.

Wow, I take back what I said about the Senators not being aggressive enough! I went to Saturday's game (against Nashville), and the Sens just couldn't keep themselves out of the penalty box. Great game though!

Did I really say this? Perhaps I should have chosen a stouter limb! Looks like I'll be eating hockey pucks real soon! If they miss the playoffs again this year - as it appears they are hell-bent on doing - it'll make, what, 5 years in a row?!? How embarrassing! I thought Brian Trottier would make the difference.

Rich, the New York Islanders look like they may secure a spot. Although, they do have that Yashin guy ....

Yashin, Smashin ... Brenda, you do not understand what is happening here!!!!

To a die-hard New York Rangers fan - and vice-versa - The New York Islanders making the playoffs is just about as bad as us not making the playoffs - and, vice-versa!

It was hard to accept Trottier as the coach!!! His Islanders would regularly knock the Rangers out of the playoffs back in the Bossy/Trottier glory years.

But, I see we beat the bums last night!!!

We call him "Cashin Yashin" here The Rangers beat Buffalo tonight ... it looks like they are catching up fast! I would much rather see them in the playoffs than the Islanders. If Ottawa stays where they are and the Rangers slip in, it will make for a great first round playoff game! heh, heh!

I didn't say much about the hockey playoffs because I don't usually follow hockey. However, my team and my boy Scottie just won the Stanley Cup. I'm a happy lady!
