What a shame, - back when I lived in Maine that ship was re-built at Samples Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor. I've been on board her several times during the rebuilding project. She's actually larger than the original, - to accommodate the need for more room for filming purposes. - NOT a huge ship by any stretch of the imagination, - but the original did A LOT of sailing. ... An absolutely beautiful ship - bow to stern.

Not to sound like a superstitious sailor or anything, but I'd think it'd be bad luck to be on any ship named "The Bounty"!!....
