It's a nice 106* in my back yard right now, and this ain't exactly Mississippi. - Over the years there's been 103* several times, though not often - but this is a tad much. - Hats off to folks that live "down south" - don't honestly know how you can.

It was a balmy 96 here today. I went over the the auto salvage yard today around noon and sent a couple of hours looking for parts. It really wasn't too bad. There was a little breeze from time to time.

The house I live in now is the first house I have ever lived in that had air conditioning. We have lived here for 8 years. Before that, no air at all. Just some attic fans.

I am going to an event in Pemaquid, ME next week. I guess I had better pack a sweater or two.

Actually Fitz I didn't live all that far from Pemaquid Maine, - just a tad south, Southport Island, next to Boothbay Harbor Maine. Been there a number of times. You'll like it there, very scenic. Bring a camera and enjoy, - temps should be back to normal. That's gotta be quite a drive for you.

I am carpooling with a friend from Tennessee. Actually, his is (or was) on this board. He went by the name Okwaho, and was a Kahnawake Mohawk elder (he is 76, I think and reminds you a little of the old Sachem). So it's not as bad with two. The event is next weekend, so maybe you could drop by for a visit? It is a 17th century event, at least for us. I think there will be other time periods there, but we are 1670's. It is the first time for me. I am very comfortable with the 1750's, but this is a new thing and not easy to put together.

Temps in mid-high 90s, but the humidity is oppressive. Air conditioning has a hard time overcoming it.

Sounds like a good time Fitz, and I'd like to, but I don't live all that close any longer, southern New Hampshire now & I work weekends. Good luck with the event, ... post a few pics if you get the chance.

Monsoons have kicked in and it's been an average of 105 = hot, humid, scorching!
