Where is everybody??? I surely didn't expect to be the first to comment on this, but since I'm here:

God bless the Navy Seals, President Obama, and the United States of America.

I have been too busy pinching myself all day to make sure I am really awake. I am overjoyed! When I turned on my TV at 5:45 this morning to groggily watch the morning news, I was certainly wide awake in a hurry. I couldn't believe it.

What an amazing military feat. In... zap... out. 40 minutes. Unbelievable.

God Bless America!

The DO find a way to make everything a mess, don't they? Such good news and now all they can do is talk/fight about whether or not to release the photos, who will/won't be offended by them. . .and on and on.

Yes they do, Winglo -- yes, they do.

I am grateful that Osama bin Laden is gone - I make no reservations about that.

However, following Micheal Moore's logic - and we all know that millions on the Left adore him and his trash-bin-laden [pun intended] Fahrenheit 911 - if our last real President, George W. Bush, was a a lying, murderer, and if 9/11 was all a hoax - set up by the Bush administration - then Obama just killed an innocent man.

How could so many believe such an incredible fantasy - or, at least pretend they did for political purposes - and now praise the "gutsy" Obama?

I stick with my very first impression - posted on Facebook this past Monday morning:

I awoke to the news that Osama bin Laden has been killed. Though I've been drinking from a coffee-mug - for nearly 10 years - that reads, "Wanted: Dead or Alive" with his mug on my mug, the news hit me with all the force of ... nothing. Very numb feeling. Now, I read, his body was buried at sea? Something is askew, as everything seems to be in this Presidency. "Destiny is a fickle bitch!"

Personally, I don't want to see the photos. I know that some people won't believe it until they do see photos, but I doubt that they would believe it even if they did see them. It would go along the lines of, "Those photos have been doctored. That's not really bin Laden, and so on."
I was happy when they captured Saddam and I thought that it was justice when they killed bin Laden. It doesn't matter if he was armed or not. All of the people that died in the WTC weren't armed either.
I also don't care who the president is when these murderers are captured or killed. As president, Obama was the one to actually give the order to take him out, but I do believe that our former president Bush does deserve a lot of credit too. Not that I am a big Bush fan, but he deserves more credit than a lot of people give him.
Let's face it, republicans will never like anything that President Obama does, just like democrats never liked anything that President Bush did. I think that we just need to come together as a country and actually be unified instead of divided like we are.
BTW Rich, I am pretty liberal but I can't stand Michael Moore and don't believe a lot of junk that he spouts. Bush wasn't a lying murderer and 9/11 wasn't a hoax set up by Bush. Again, I'm not a big Bush fan, but I just don't believe all of Moore's junk. I was going to use a bad word for "junk", but decided I better not.
