I can't believe it! Just one month until the next (and final?) Great Mohican Gathering. Plans are falling into place and I am so looking forward to seeing everyone again. Locations are being scouted, a car flag volunteer has been found (thanks Jayne!), Sarah is hard at work on the Program Guide, and Nancy is ready to start on nametags. Speaking of nametags, Nancy asked me if they were really necessary this year wince she expected it to be mostly repeat Gatherers. Surprise! We have quite a few newbies this year along with several return Gatherers, so it should be a great time with new faces and enthusiasm as well as old friends.
If you haven't registered yet, it's not too late but do it soon. We will need a headcount for the BBQ about a week before the Gathering. Haven't registered yet? Yeah how many of us get our very own smiley?? I hope the Batliners are still planning to join us again this year. Last time I talked to them, they were planning to come but that's been a while.
If you use an old car flag, then you won't match everyone else! And they are great souvenirs. Try fitting them in a scrapbook, though.
Speaking of which, I got my 2008 scrapbook done but still am not caught up on 2004 and 2006. Maybe someday. Anyway I'll bring 2008 and I hope other people will bring their scrapbooks and photo albums from past Gatherings too.

Definitely, this year's flag design is much different than the British army "motif" of 2 years ago!
