Even the late night talk show hosts are cracking jokes about this.

I don't know where it originated from, but I received a joke today that says:

A Nobel 'Peace' Prize, huh? Well it must have been for his visonary leadership, and a solid diplomatic policy... Wait a minute, he has only been in office several months, so that can't be it.

Maybe it was his tireless work as a U.S. Senator and... Nope, he was only in attendence less than a 180 days before launching his presidential campaign.

Okay, it must be for a combination of things, which include his world-spanning 'Apology Tour', his 'Stimulus' Law which piled debt onto future generations, and his threat to destroy 1/6th of the surviving U.S. economy by pandering to the Leeches with 'free' healthcare and other publicly-funded programs. (All of which will bring our nation further down into the mire; and of course, that meets with the approval of his fellow Marxists at the Norwegian Nobel Committee)

On the other hand:

Jimmy Carter

Yasser Arafat

Kofi Annan

Al Gore

Barack Obama (AKA- Barry Sotero)

...Yep, I'm seeing a pattern here

The first thing I said the morning I heard this was, "What exactly has he DONE?" I thought you had to DO something in order to get nominated, not just show promise to do something. Hmmm. . .We've had Carter, Gore and Obama all from the U.S. What do they all have in common? Oh yeah, they're all from the same party.

WW, I love that Heismann Trophy joke. I'm going to pass it along to my running partner. She'll love it!

Not only has he been in office less than one year, he had a pathetic record in Congress, but he was only just barely coronated, and I use the term accurately, for 11 days or so when nomination for the prize was done. Craziness is breaking out everywhere. I won't even mention health care! What a joke!

Well, that actually would explain it. He rode into office on a wave of optimism in this country. Everyone thought he was going to do great things. In the last 9 months he really hasn't done much at all, but I DO understand now. If the nomination was last January/February he would have seemed poised to be a wonder. He probably wouldn't get nominated now, as he has been somewhat inept at getting anything done. I wonder when voting was.

Winglo,
Voting is done in early October, so go figure how they came to actually vote for him. Check this link:http://nobelprize.org/nomination/peace/process.html
