My "Thought For The Day" comes from a series of events which began on Halloween night of last year...My husband was working late that evening & I took advantage of the opportunity to watch LOTM! My husband came home when I was less than half-way through the movie, walked into the living room, glanced at the TV, made a face & said, "Are you watching that AGAIN? So, I stopped the movie & surrendered the TV to my husband, turned on my computer & headed for Mohicanland! I enjoyed my visit very much (as always!) & I was suddenly inspired to write my very first email to Rich. I wish I had saved it...but basically, I just thanked him for creating such a wonderful website & I told him how much I loved visiting Mohicanland, and how much it meant to be able to "escape" into that wonderful world anytime I wished.
The next morning, I was surprised & delighted to find an email response from Rich on my computer! As I was reading it, I got an instant message notification from HotMail - it was Rich! I DID save THAT email (thank goodness!) and I would like to share it with you all now:

Well I remember, Diane B. You done did very good; very innocently. With all that had transpired; with the events of 9/11; I really thought it was time to lay it to rest ...
You simply impressed upon me the possibility that the freshness & innocence, of which the event was born, might still be there ... and wasn't Gathering V the ever-livin' proof that indeed it was!?! |

Absolutely! Attending Gathering V was one of the most wonderful, memorable experiences of my life - no kidding! I met a great bunch of folks & had a grand time traveling with all of you around Mohicanland! I can hardly wait for Gatherin VI! What an advent'cha!
