Hey Anth, you brought back quite a few memories with your post! Oh, yes, I sure remember the SWEET, Mud and Slade. I am surprised though that they were also popular in the US. ( I was living in Europe at that time), Say, have you ever heard of the band Smokie from the UK? Their lead singer, Chris Norman, did a duet with Suzie Quatro called Stumblin' In. Also, remember the band Status Quo? Yep, they all came from the UK.. Of course I like the Beatles but they were already going their separate ways by the time I discovered them..Something to do with my age..:)

You're welcome Anth. It's better title for the thread anyway. BTW, have you ever listened to Coldplay? Their second album is just out and hasn't left my cd player since I bought it.
Seeing as you know everybody, ha!, what about the late great Jeff Buckley?

Remember the Hendrix song off of the Cry of Love album in 1970,Belly Button Window? I think that was his suicide song.Hendrix was a great guitar player.Too bad the dope got him.It seems like people need to dope it up when they become famous and eventually pay the price.Even though he died of an overdose,I still think he had it planned.Listen to the words from that song.

Good song Jimbo/Secureman.....Hendrix was THE MAN.i had his LP when it hit the airwaves @ the same time as my MONKEES pillows too.i was Eclectic.BUT jimi was a druggie and i think drugs made him write better.i may be a 'anti - drug' man and never did 'em ...BUT i like classic Tragic Artists like Garland and Billie Holiday and Keith Richards and Elton John.....to me ...I loved Elton , but my pun @ allott of parties and friends homes when we play N talk of the NEW sober Elton, ....i say "He lost it",wehen he cleaned n sobered up I do think Elton and even Paul McCartney LOST allott of thier talent n Bohemian writing styles and feel when they STOPPED doing drugs.......its just my thought..........even Judy garland was Great all drunk and outa control.........................Im a liberal and i say let the Artist do what drugs they want to ....so long as the Music is GREAT! i know i know I'm a lil Straaaaaaaaaaaaange .. Think about it..true?? SEE The DEAD even though I always LOATHED them and their liberal drug use....sorry RichFed.. i know reading that HURT!.I love YOU STILL..........MR. 'Box of Rain' Federici 'American 'Lainey' Beauty', too..yeah! you! gal Howes Yr Lil ~Child of the Universe~ TODAY? by the way?? lainey.. But rich, the DEAD, well..there were too Out of it.................God Bless Jerry though I still eat my Ben N Jerry's "Cherry Garcia" i do.. Anth
