Poll Question:
Hello Fellow Fan Club Members,
This poll is to vote on the words to be etched on one, or more paver stones, to be placed in the Riverwalk memorial in Chimney Rock.
I'll be collecting money at this years gathering for those in attendance.
If anyone else who can't make the gathering who would like to pitch in
can do so by sending me their money. Email me and I'll send you my address. Each stone is $50.00.
If I get enough for two stones, I'll order the 2 top choices for sayings.
I'll post how much money was collected at the gathering so you'll
know how much more is needed.
Please vote once per person to be fair to all.
I've posted all the suggestions received so far.
If you have a another good suggestion, let me know.

I like Rich's suggestion. If you include that choice, put my vote in for that one. Something about the use of "fan club" bugs me...don't know why except that maybe it's a bit over-used.

Jayne,
I like Rich's suggestion too, but there are too many letters. The first line has 16 letters and 1 space. We can only have 14 characters and spaces per line. Right WW?

I voted for 98-04 Mohican Gatherers for two reasons.
One, the 98-04 includes everybody that has ever attended a Gathering, and two, "Gatherers" puts a face, if you will, on it rather than referring to an event.
I'm with Jayne on the fan club thing...doesn't quite ring right.

Mmmmmmm... I have to say that the 'Fan Club' title doesn't work for me either.
But I'm with Theresa in that I like the idea of the 1998 - 2004 encompassing the Gatherers from EVERY Gathering. They ALL added something, and made a difference...
And I like the idea of 'gatherers' - this whole THING, both 'Last of the Mohicans' AND 'The Great Mohican Gatherings' are about people (in their own ways, of course)... So, I'm inclined to go with that too. But... I put 'LOTM Gatherers 1998-2004' - the people THEN the date - that kinda sat better with me...
But I won't throw a strop if I don't get MY way... maybe...  |

Stop that cacklin', Wilderness Woman!!! We'll get this here decision made one way or another! 
I voted for "LOTM Gatherers 1998-2004". That way, I can be on the right side of Kate's strop if it doesn't win!!
