Hope all is well with you and your family.Shirley and the girls are just fine and send their regards.Now,as far as Rich and I beating up patients,we will need to clarify some things.Rich and I never beat anyone up.Poor Rich got beat up.Ask him about the potato incident which resulted in a nose job or the time he choked a woman with no legs.In all fairness,he thought she had legs but when she attacked,Rich smoked her and her two prosthesis legs fell off resulting in Rich wrestling with just a torso.As for me,I got assaulted more times that sometimes I thought it was a normal part of life getting my face kicked in.Hey Rich,need some help here! We were sweet guys in the mist of raving maniacs who were called patients.That title down plays their status.Just peruse their history and behavior.They were not there for bad feet.And when I was in maximum security,you had a bunch of Hannibal the Cannibals all over the place.Hey Rich,remember you helped transport Danny [omitted] over to Mid-Hudson? I worked there too.You do remember old Danny Boy? He already had two bodies to his credit.Defend us old Rich of the mohicanland!Let it be known the service we did.Do the folks down there know you served time in an asylum?Not as an inmate,but as a S.C.T.A.? Say it with pride! We never beat anyone up.We got beat up!And I can prove it! I am presently a disabled psychiatric civil service secure ward war vet.I am a physical wreck from all the years of being smashed.Spinal damage,knee damage,and from what you can already surmise rain damage!lol.I know you are a postal worker Rich,but be true to the boys! S.C.T.A.'S forever!Wow,I never knew I could type this long.Keep the stories coming.I love all you folks.What the heck is 6 degrees?

Hi back to Shirley AND the girls (how old now?).
I remember the infamous Hot Potato ... oh yes. What followed was better, though. After getting his nose busted courtesy of that poor, poor maniac, Rich had it re-busted (can't you tell?) by the doc just so he could re-fix it. After snorting coke, courtesy of medical professionals, he came home with his nose stuffed with wads of gauze. He was STRONGLY cautioned against removing that gauze (lest the nose job collapse & a good old hemorrhage come on). So- what'd he do? Went straight to the bathroom, locked the door (told you he was a child), & pulled all the gauze out. Oh yeah - then he thought he overdosed on codeine & required a 911 call. What fun days they were ...
I know you didn't REALLY beat up patients, Jim. (But you know you wanted to!) And, seriously, you have certainly paid a price for that work. A proud, disabled psych ward war vet. I salute you!!!!!
(I worked the psycho-geriatric ward. Don't ever let those elderly men & little old ladies fool you - harmless they weren't. And that's what becomes of GGGGs, Mohicanland!)

That's a little theory of mine. I figured if no more than five degrees separated Kevin Bacon from all things thespian, then surely there was a Six Degrees to LOTM in everything. I added a page to prove it ... you are a good example of my theory, by the way, Mr. Mann.

Yeah ... them wuz the days! Secure Care Treatment Assistants ... had to make the best of a very bad situation[s]. You think it has gotten bad around here at times??? We had some riots!!!
