I like old Harry. Even if he was a Democrat.
What did John Goodman say on West Wing? If Truman was alive today, he'd be a Republican! And of course, Bartlett's secretary replies "Oh, I doubt that".
At any rate, I like the guy. A lot.
Anybody seen Give 'Em Hell Harry? The TV movie taken off the play?

I don't know about Harry, Bill, but JFK would definately have an "(R)" next to his name today. This is due to his fiscal policies, and not to that clown cabinet appointee McNamara trying to make a 'one-size fits all' military weapon system/equipment procurement. I mean the M-16 is an excellent weapon for what it was designed for, (Airbase Ground Defense and Special/Airborne Ops) but it is no M-14. Also, the F-111 was an excellent low-level strike aircraft, but it proved not to be a worthy carrier-based fleet defender. Oh well, what do you expect when you put a car company executive in charge of the Department of Defense? I know, Vietnam!!!
