So, are you the oldest one around here, or what?? Not speaking of age here, either, but of earliest participant on the Mohican Board still posting ... got to be you or Jo or Doc M. or Ilse or Bea or Bill R. Yes? 1997! Wow!
Anyway, Chris, a most Happy Birthday to one of the very special people out there who dots the Mohicanland landscape.
There was no better friend during the Board Holocaust of July, 2001 ... you became, as you know, my own Jiminey Cricket ... and helped me considerably in anger management. Mind if I embarrass you?  No matter, I'll do it anyway ...  As I tried to diplomatically piece things back together in the aftermath, Chris would, at times, read what I was going to say & edit accordingly. She has a remarkable ability to keep the meaning while ironing out the hostility. I learned a lot from my Jiminey, I really did. This board's current existence owes a lot to Chris Boone!

Thank you for all the good wishes. Your notes brought back some splendid memories. I had a great day. The stars must have been aligned: all the cards, phone calls, and packages from my family arrived yesterday. If you knew my family, you'd know what a surprise that was. Birthdays and Christmas celebrations have been known to last for a month or more.
Joyce, I do believe I am still older than you are. I think I may be the oldest on the board, but the last time I ventured to ask, I started the GGGG/SYMT war, so I think I'll just leave the topic alone this time.
Thanks for the wishes for snow. It's getting colder here, but I think we're still a month or so away from snow on the ground.
Take care all of you, and know that I am thinking of you even when I don't post.
