It was a bad time of great misunderstandings and mis-assumptions. But it IS in the past. SO much has happened since then in so many lives that I, for one, would wish to keep it in the past and move beyond it. I've tried. I'll continue to try. A year ago I did try, but failed, as I rose to bait I should have just ignored. I guess I had the naive belief that all could be forgiven and all could be forgiving sooner or later. Now, I am content that at least as far as Rich and I am concerned (I dearly hope) it HAS been put behind and no more will I rise to real or imagined "bait". I also realize that not everyone will forgive or be able to get past it. Everyone must choose their own path I guess.
More and more, with every new or continuing health issue, with the loss of someone loved I thought would always be with me, with terror, wars, NWO, a personal epiphany and revitalization of my faith brought about by my mother's passing.....I realize very little matters when you come right down to it except Family, Friends, Faith and Forgiveness. Dwelling too much on things beyond that is just a waste of the precious time we are given.
Like Theresa says, we hope you arent continuing to beat yourself up over this. |
