Probably, you don't even know what Red Eye is. Ever watch The Five on Fox News? It's a news & opinion round table discussion on every week day at, you guessed it, 5 PM. Good show.
Anyway, one of the five co-hosts of The Five is a very witty, sometimes obnoxious - but, loveably so - guy named Greg Gutfeld [brilliant, at times, actually]. He also hosts another news & opinion show that airs at 3 AM on Fox News. Only this particular show is more humor-based, irreverent humor. It's a blast. I wouldn't even know that the show existed if it weren't for retirement and insomnia. Now, I set the DVR to be sure I won't miss it. Oh .. the show is Red Eye.
So, I'm watching last night's show [or more properly this morning's] and there's this off-camera voice that always introduces Greg at the top of the show. After the usual spiel, the voice says:
Don't worry, Greg. No matter what occurs, I will find you ... no matter how long it takes ... no matter how far... I will find you.
It was pretty impressive at 3 AM! |

Good one, Fitz!
I have a story... the wife (who at the time was not re-enacting, but was along with her husband just for the ride) of one of the guys in my regiment was miffed at another couple who left at the end of an event without helping the group tear down canvas. She was railing on about how they were inconsiderate and just up and left "without so much as a by-your-leave!" She made everybody laugh, which really wasn't her intent! |

Posted - May 02 2013 : 5:19:57 PM I got to do one last summer at Linville Gorge. Our group had gone to the first and second overlooks at the falls and the river. There was a sign pointing to the third overlook. Phil Stangler said he was tired and that was as far as he was going. I pointed to the sign and said, "Two leagues, better water." |
