Posted - November 30 2002 : 09:51:21 AM Well, having dipped my big toe into the somewhat scary pond of message boarding, I seem to be getting a bit braver.
I just want to say that this website is amazing. I discovered it a while back when I did a search on something...can't even remember what...and briefly looked at it then. Just recently, after doing my yearly rewatch of LOTM, I decided to do some more exploring. This time, I really got into it, and discovered just how much wonderful stuff is planted here. Three Huzzahs for a great job!
LOTM is my absolute, number 1, hands-down, favorite movie of all time. (The Patriot runs a close second.) At first I was worried that I might read some material here that would somehow influence my thinking and make me look at the movie with a more critical eye, thus spoiling it for me. Not so. Even learning of the bloopers didn't do it. I finally saw the blue-hat-guy! I said, out loud, "There he is!" Didn't spoil a thing. I still haven't spotted the other bloopers... and that is fine with me. <grin>
I think I get the main idea of how to use the boards (at first I was a bit confused), but if I goof it up, please correct me... gently... and I will try harder to do it correctly. Ciao.

Posted - December 06 2002 : 4:27:58 PM WELCOME!!!! Like Ithi said, we have this roleplaying thing going, its really funny and easy...go to the bumpin round bumpos column, then go under lotm fan fiction, then hit the outrageously insane Lotm story to check it out. Its hilarious! Happy posting! |

Posted - December 01 2002 : 8:29:55 PM Hi Wilderness Woman, welcome to the site! I totally agree with you that this site is fabulous. By the way, dying in childbirth would be almost worth it if the child was Hawkeye's!:) |

Posted - November 30 2002 : 6:27:47 PM Thanks so much for the warm welcome, Rich and Theresa.
Ooops! Yep, that's exactly what happened. I typed the quote into my message first, then after I thought it was posted, I went into my profile and placed it into the signature box. Then, much to my chagrin, I discovered later that it appeared twice. Blush...
Ah well. At least I got my point across: I Love The Wilderness! I wish I had been born back in about 1740 or so. Yeah, I know, it would have been a hard life, and I probably would have died in childbirth... but, I don't know... there is just such a draw there. Agreed?
By the way, I like to come to the board's main page partly to hear that catchy tune. Ciao. |

Posted - November 30 2002 : 11:09:56 AM Thank you, WW ... it's always good to hear of folks enjoying the web site ... and, it's good to have you here with us!!
The Board is complex, but it really is very easy to master ... just go for it. If you screw up, we'll help you out! First on that agenda [gently, this is, I hope!]: It appears you have the line "It is more deeply stirring to my blood, than any imagining could possibly have been." Cora as your signature [set-up in your profile]. So, there's no need to re-type it when you post. It'll show up automatically, if you have it set up to do so. I think that's why it showed up twice in your post. There! One less thing to learn here!
Welcome aboard! |

The Federicis are such devoted webmasters and it is to their credit that this is such a wonderful and fun place to be. Glad to have you onboard and look forward to seeing you more often. Ciao!
