Posted - December 12 2006 : 3:52:45 PM I wonder did they get a very much bigger than normal crowd of Gatherers that year? Rich or anyone else know??? If only we had been around then is right. I fear we would have been like little drooling teenagers around him. I know I would have been... Will he ever come back to the Gathering I wonder? Would have been great to see Chingy too inperson and DDL. Did DDL ever attend a Gathering? |

Posted - December 12 2006 : 1:49:03 PM Yeah Uncas was at the 1999 gathering (I think I got the year right!) I was so angry with myself for not finding the site sooner. I would have died a very happy woman had I gotten to actually meet Eric in person! I am sure I would have stuttered quite a bit and possibly have drooled on his shoe but at least he would have found it hard to forget me!!!! |

Posted - December 12 2006 : 12:59:16 AM WHAT!!!!! I thought it was Russell Means who went! Or did they both pop in at different times? Either way life is so unfair! |

Posted - December 12 2006 : 12:16:30 AM You know I hate to sound strange but Ching is pretty cute for his age!!!! By the way....did anyone get to actually meet Eric when he went to the gathering a few years back? |

Posted - December 11 2006 : 10:33:31 AM Definitely has to be the cast...The rest were all crucial factors to the greatness of the film, but....if they had settled on a cast with a lesser abilitily to portray these characters no amount of eye catching scenery or heart wretching music would have masked the lack of talent. |

Posted - December 23 2002 : 7:28:12 PM i also agree that LOTM is just about perfect. the only thing that really bothers me about it is the Megaphone Man with the blue hat. now that someone pointed it out to me i can't igonore it!lol. ~Roxy~ |

Posted - December 10 2002 : 7:23:41 PM To tell you the truth, I forget who I voted for...oops *innocent smile* I think it was the male actors or somewhere along those lines. I mean, who can forget Hawkeye's grin???? |

Posted - December 06 2002 : 4:43:20 PM The first time I ever saw the movie, well, half of the movie anyway, was in History class (french and indian war, you get it). Although many of the scenes were fast forwarded, and the class was obviously noisy, so I couldnt hear half of what they were saying. But I sort of got the point anyway, you could see the distress and the attempt to happy and cheerful again, like the old days, in everyones faces. It gives credit to the actors and actresses, and it also reminds you of how hard it must have been to be living in that time. |

Posted - December 02 2002 : 10:44:44 AM This was a tough one! I love beautiful scenery... and I love beautiful music. When they are combined together so successfully... what more can you ask for? You almost don't need dialogue. I guess I went with The Music because that was the first thing that literally struck me right smack in the face the first time I watched the movie. |

oh yea?!!! nothing compared to you and your kiss/burning music....dunno, the scenery didnt impress me any....music was great, but DD-L is greater...by FAR.

Ithiliana, you need to come to a Gathering and see the scenery first hand. I think you'll be impressed.
Theresa is right, Ithiliana: if you see the scenery first-hand, you cannot help but be impressed. If you don't believe us, just ask for some testimonials from those who have been there. For example, hiking to four waterfalls in one day in the DuPont State Forest and seeing their beauty, as well as the magnificence of the mountains, will make an impression on anyone - and if it doesn't, the aching muscles & resulting blisters the next day certainly will! (Just kidding, Rich - aching muscles and such are a small price to pay in return for everything we get out of the Gatherings!) |

Posted - November 22 2002 : 6:17:22 PM You know that music that is playing when you the website first comes up? That always gets stuck in my head. The sad part is, is that I can't remember half of it, only the ending, so it bothers me that I cant humm it all, at least. |

Posted - November 16 2002 : 5:58:52 PM *remembers, that when she was watching the movie, Ithi jumbed up, mumbling, "gotta find it gotta find it GO AWAY VIXEN! gotta find it..." half an hour later she pulls out the cd that has the "no matter where you go..." song on it, now we/she sing it nonstop, and annoy everyone...heh heh |

LOL ithi...(shes obseesed, of all people i should know) im sorry ithers, but hes just has to go to the place with no frontiers in the sky...besides we all know duncan was the best...hes my fav character. I know your all probably looking at me weird right now, but he looked so hurt when cora told him off, and he sacrificed his life for her, even tho he knew she was in love with Natty...i just kinda respect him for that. Also because he has the coolest name and looks like a pig...
<snort> (I'm snorting for Duncas, ye ken??) The music is OUTSTANDING. Just wanted to say that. I've now officially worn-out my LOTM video, the music warbles when I watch he movie. I've got people searching for a new one for a Christmas present for me (the one I have was a Christmas present, too, it came with a cassette tape of the music which I wore-out big time then got the CD). I'm rambling, I'm rambling, but I'm a Mohican Maniac, so it's allowed.... |
