Does anyone know what is painted on Killdeer (movie version) just above the patchbox?? My only guess is it's the symbol (looks like a pie with six pieces) that Chingachgook has on his earing, and also on his chest in the Wyeth painting.
Next question is... what does it mean??

Maybe an Eastern tribes version of the medicine wheel, or maybe reference to the Iroquois league? Just a guess...
