It just occurred to me why Chingy referred to himself as "the last of the Mohicans."
In the big "running" scenes, (a) the deer hunt, and (b) chasing Magua, Alice, et al, up that trail, what position is he always in? That's right, dead last!!  |

Sorry to burst your bubble, Moon Maiden, but being the next-to-last Mochican means Uncas would walk in front of Chingy! Therefore, you are really playing grab-tail with the old man! |

Yeah, he gets to walk a step behind to make it easier for us girls to catch him . With Ching in front Uncas will have to stumble over his pa', giving us the few precious seconds we need!!!!

And on a related note (unintended pun), if Chingachgook is the last of the Mohicans, does that make Uncas the next to the last of the Mohicans?  |

IIRC, wasn't Ching. the last one out of the water? I haven't watched LOTM in a couple of months, so I'm not completely sure. |

LOL I just love the way your mind works Obi. Another good one indeed. Although when they jump through the Falls, after they climb out of the water and start the climb up the rocks after Magua and his band, doesn't it go Hawkeye, Chingy and then our dear beloved Uncas? I could be wrong. I will certainly do my homework though and check it out. Not a bad job mind you checking out Uncas running up the rocks and Hawkeye is a nice piece of eye candy too. |
